Yoga involves many aspects of life. The purpose is to bring ourselves into a state of meditativeness. It involves overall balance and healthiness of mind & body, exuberance of energy and spiritual growth. Our course covers all these elements in order for you to get maximum benefit.

The 8 limbs of Patanjali are not studied but are brought into practice. They are Yama, Niyama, Pratyahar, Pranayama, Asana, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. The last three of the limbs are up to you – how much effort you put in, how much transformation you go through.

Satkarma begins the day as cleansing is necessary for pranayama. It is usually Jala Neti, however, if you are willing to go for another satkarma process, we make arrangements for it and guide you the right way. Many pranayama techniques, their benefits and prior state of the body are taught. Mudras & Bandhas are done during the pranayama learning process.

Before starting the asana practice, prayer and mantra chanting is done. Asanas practice needs proper alignment as well as safety measures have to be taken. We make sure you are aware of the measures and the alignment required.

Teaching methodology includes various principles of Yoga, cueing-instructions, discovering unique teaching style, class environment and setting-up, way of effective communication, how to make adjustments in postures while teaching and observing students’ learning process to provide them effective assistance.

Understanding basic Anatomy & Physiology helps to do asanas in the way it has to be done and also to avoid possible risks while doing them. It is easier to figure out how much one should push to do an asana through their pain-points when you are aware of Anatomical knowledge.

The course contains yoga philosophy, ethics, traditional texts, spiritual anatomy too. When one understands the technicality of the dimension that five senses cannot perceive, it helps a lot to walk the Yogic path. We let you know how your diet should be and what is a real Yogic lifestyle.

Each student is evaluated based on a set of criteria that is part of the course. Students’ involvement in class, lesson preparation, practicum, chanting, workshop techniques, philosophy, comprehension, and so on are all observed to see if they have gained the requisite teaching skills. Teachers and fellow students will provide feedback to the trainees.
